Unidentified Glider Causes Scare

A pair of IAF combat helicopters were alerted Saturday when an unidentified glider parachute flew in the sky over Zichron Yaacov in a civilian aviation path, risking civilian aircraft in the sky, and without coordination and regard of the civil aviation laws in the State of Israel, the IDF stated.
The case was forwarded to the Israel Police for further investigation and a complaint was filed against the glider.
Hamas Terrorist Dies in ‘Accident’

A Hamas terrorist operating in a tunnel in the Gaza Strip died on Thursday in what the terror organization categorized as a “work accident.”
The al-Qassam Brigades identified the man as Muhammad Fawzi al-Najjar. No further details were provided.
Terrorists operating in the tunnels are occasionally killed while operating in them, primarily when the tunnel collapses on them.
IDF Tank Fires at Hamas Posts in Response to Rocket Attack

Gaza-based terrorists on Wednesday fired three rockets at Israel’s south. The projectiles exploded in an open space, causing no injuries. One rocket hit a greenhouse, and another slightly damaged a house in one of the communities under attack.
In response, an IDF tank fired at two Hamas military posts.
This attack was the latest in a series which occurred of past days.
On Tuesday night, terrorists fired rockets towards the cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon. The Iron Dome Defense system intercepted two of the rockets. The Israeli Air Force attacked 15 Hamas targets.
IDF Drone Downed in Gaza

An IDF drone flying over the Gaza Strip crashed early Monday morning, the IDF has confirmed.
The IDF stated that the incident was under invetigation, but provided no further details.
The Hamas terror organization claims that it shot the drone down.
This incident occurred just a day after an IDF drone crashed in Lebanon. Hezbollah claimed it shot down the small aircraft.
Rocket Launched at Israel, Explodes in Gaza

Gaza-based terrorists on Sunday night fired a rocket towards Israel. The launch failed and the rocket exploded inside the Strip.
The IDF stated that it detected a failed launch from the Gaza Strip, which did not cross into Israel. As a result of the launch, a warning was issued through an app, as required, but not on the public alarm system.
A few hours before the failed attack, IDF troops arrested two suspects who crossed the border fence in the southern Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. They were found to be carrying a knife, wire cutters and flammable materials.
The attempted rocket launch comes after a violent weekend in the Strip during which terrorists carried out several attacks and launched rockets at Israel, prompting the Israeli Air Force to strike Hamas terror targets.
