Improvement in Condition of Seriously Injured Soldier
IDF soldier Daniel Merder, who was seriously injured on Tuesday by comrades who mistakenly through a rock at him, is in stable condition and has shown a slight improvement.
The Nahariya hospital stated that he underwent a life-saving two-hour operation, has since shown improvement and is communicating with his family.
Merder, a combat soldier in the field artillery, was injured at a base in the north when he was hit in the head by a rock thrown by his comrades who were playing a game.
The Military Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Merder was evacuated only hours after his injury, and his parents are blaming his commanders of misconduct.
IDF Soldier Suffers Severe Head Injury
An IDF soldier on Tuesday evening suffered a blow to the head from a rock which severely injured him. The reason for the injury is unclear. However, it did not occur during operational circumstances, the IDF underscored.
According to some reports, the soldiers were involved in an unsafe game of rock-throwing, and the soldier was injured when the game turned violent.
The soldier was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Military police have launched an investigation into the incident.
IDF Soldier Wounded in Bethlehem Operation
IDF soldiers on Sunday night carried out a counter-terrorism operation in Bethlehem. During the operation, a violent riot ensued, during which Arab rioters threw rocks and fired fireworks at the troops.
A soldier was lightly wounded in the incident and was taken for medical treatment at a hospital in Jerusalem. The other soldiers responded with crowd dispersal means.
In related news, Israeli forces operating in Judea and Samaria arrested 22 wanted men suspected of involvement in terrorism and violent riots.
In addition, IDF forces operating in the Samaria area seized terror funds worth NIS 10,000.

IDF Artillery Shells Mt. Dov, on Lebanon Border
IDF artillery on Sunday fired at targets on Mount Dov on the border with Lebanon.
The IDF confirmed it intentionally set fires in the area to clear brush that was obstructing its view of the area.
Mount Dov has previously been the site of Hezbollah attacks.
The IDF is on high alert following threats by Hezbollah to carry out attacks.
IDF Pounds Hamas Target in Response to Rocket Attack
Gaza-based terrorists on Wednesday night fire at rocket towards Kibbutz Netiv Ha’asara in southern Israel, setting off alarms that led civilians to flee for cover. The rocket exploded in an open space, causing no injuries or damage.
Shortly after the attack, the IDF targeted a Hamas target in the northern Strip.
Tensions on the Gazan border have been high in recent days following several infiltration attempts by terrorists and rocket attacks.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that if it proves necessary, Israel will launch on a wide-ranging campaign in Gaza, regardless of the pending September elections.
