Israeli security forces arrested Palestinian Authority Jerusalem Governor Adnan Gheith at his house in Silwan in east Jerusalem on Saturday night, as part of an investigation surrounding Issam Akel – an American-Palestinian detained in October by the Palestinian Authority for selling an apartment in Jerusalem’s Old City to a Jewish buyer.

Palestinian woman carrying knife arrested in Neve Tzuf
A 40-year-old Palestinian woman was apprehended in the early hours of Thursday morning when she tried to enter the community of Neve Tzuf in Binyamin while carrying a knife. An IDF patrol spotted her and she dropped the knife and asked to be arrested due to family circumstances.
Palestinian arrested attempting to breach security perimeter on south Jerusalem community
A Palestinian man was arrested Wednesday evening attempting to breach the security fence of the Har Gilo settlement south of Jerusalem. Border Police apprehended the suspect after being alerted by the community’s security officer. The suspect was taken for questioning by security forces who have yet to determine the motive for the incident. On Tuesday, an Israeli man was injured lightly after bing stabbed in the nearby village of Walaja. Police later declared the incident a “nationalistically motivated” attack.
