IDF drone strikes Gaza Balloon squad

An IDF aerial craft struck a Palestinian cell launching incendiary balloons into Israel from the Gaza Strip, the military said Friday afternoon. The incident came as some 2,000 Palestinian rioted at several spots along the border. According to Palestinian reports, the IDF opened fire at rioters causing several injuries. On Thursday, the Security Cabinet instructed the IDF to escalate its response to Palestinian violence along the border.

Ben Gurion Airport landing routes redirected amid Gaza tensions

 Landing routes at Ben Gurion Airport were redirected Thursday in the wake of an escalation of tensions with Gaza, the Israel Airports Authority said. On Wednesday, two rockets were fired at Israel, one scoring a direct hit on a house in Beer Sheva and another landing in the sea in the central region. During the 2014 Gaza War, several airlines temporarily suspended flights to Ben Gurion after a rocket fired from Gaza landed around 1.5 kilometers from the airport.

Hamas Armed Wing warns Israel ‘not to make a mistake’

The Hamas Armed Wing have released a video in a bid to threaten Israel “not to make a mistake,” when dealing with terrorist group in Gaza.

The video, which shows operatives dressed in the military wing garb loading and preparing rockets, is captioned, “Do not misread us, don’t make a mistake – it will not be good for you.”

Egyptian Intelligence Chief postpones Israel visit

Abbas Kammal, Egypt’s chief of intelligence cancelled a planned visit to Israel on Wednesday, as a result of the tensions between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Abbas was set to visit Israel as part of Egypt’s mediation efforts between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
