Incendiary balloon found in Hevel Modi’in
The Israel Police has confirmed that a an incendiary balloon was found on Tuesday afternoon in the Hevel Modi’in Regional Council in central Israel after being caught in tree branches.
Police cordoned off the area and sappers arrived at the scene to neutralize any threat the balloon posed.
Aerial arson attacks launched from Gaza in recent months have burned down thousands of acres of farmland and forests and caused extensive economic damages.
Barkan shooter to be paid monthly salary by Palestinian Authority
Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement Tuesday claiming that Ashraf Na’alwa, the terrorist who shot two people dead at the Barkan industrial area on Sunday will be paid a monthly salary for life from the Palestinian Authority. “The Palestinian terrorist who murdered Kim Levengrond Yehezkel & Ziv Hajbi will be paid a monthly salary for life by the Palestinian Authority, thus incentivizing more murderous terrorism against Israelis,” the Foreign Ministry tweeted.
Report: Egyptian Chief of Intelligence to visit Tel Aviv, Ramallah
Egypt’s Chief of Intelligence Abbas Kamel is set to visit Tel Aviv and Ramallah in order to meet with Israeli and Palestinian officials and discuss the inner-Palestinian reconciliation efforts between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, the London based Al-Araby Al-Jadeed news website reported on Tuesday.
According to Egyptian sources, Kamel plans to convey a message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, by which, should the latter fail to cooperate with the Egyptian-mediated reconciliation efforts, Egypt will officially recognize Hamas as the sovereign power in the Gaza Strip.
Security forces arrest 7 in overnight Judea and Samaria raids
The IDF, Israel Police and Shin Bet arrested seven Palestinians suspected of involvement in terrorist activity throughout Judea and Samaria on Monday night. Large sums of money destined for funding terror was were also discovered.
IDF detains mother of Barkan shooter
Israeli security forced detained and questioned the mother and two sisters of Asraf Nalawah, the 24-year-old Palestinian who murdered two Israelis and injured a third in Sunday morning’s terror attack in the Barkan industrial Zone outside of Ariel in Samaria.
The IDF, Israeli Police and Shin Bet are still on a manhunt for Nalawah.
