Rocket alert sirens sound in southern Israel

Rocket alert sirens were sounded across several communities in southern Israel.

The IDF Spokesperson said, that a red alert was activated in the regional councils of Shaar Hanegev and Sedot Negev and that details under review.

According to residents’ reports, two explosions were heard, which were apparently believed to be an interception.

This comes after the IDF closed several main roads along the Gaza border in southern Israel on Thursday morning due to a security situation.

The IDF closed several main roads along the Gaza border in southern Israel on Thursday morning.

The closures and troop movements were due to undisclosed security event taking place on the border.

Earlier this week, during an awards ceremony for the IDFs Gaza Division, the army confirmed that 15 tunnels from Gaza Strip had been discovered and destroyed over the last two yeardays.

 

 

Incendiary balloon found near Modi’in

An incendiary balloon was found overnight on Wednesday near the city of Modi’in in central Israel.

The balloon was found in the community of Nof Avalon. Police were called to the scene and sappers neutralized the device.

Since March, thousands of acres of land in southern Israel, worth millions of shekels, have been destroyed by kite terrorism and incendiary balloons sent to the area by Gazan residents and Hamas operatives.

 

Incendiary balloon found in Jerusalem

The Israel police and its sappers were called  to a construction site in Emek Refaim Street of Jerusalem on Wednesday morning following reports of an incendiary balloon found in the area.

Sappers neutralized the balloon and collected evidence from the site.

Since March this year, thousands of acres of land across southern Israel have been destroyed by incendiary balloons and devices sent from Gaza, which has caused millions of shekels in damage.

Former US Ambassador: ‘Haley plans to run for president’

Outgoing American Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley resigned from her position with the intention of running for President of the United States in either 2024, former US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro told Israel’s Army Radio on Wednesday morning. According to Shapiro, Haley “gained enough reputation and is leaving before [President Donald] Trump’s scandals get any bigger.”
