The Sky plc media company is set to invest four million Dollars in Remagine Ventures – an Israeli based venture capital fund which focuses on early-stage technology investments at the intersection of entertainment, commerce & data, Israeli financial paper Calcalist reported on Sunday.

Police: Sara Netanyahu suspected of receiving bribery

The Prime Minister’s wife is suspected of receiving bribery in case 4000, the Israeli Police announced Thursday. The case pertains to the Walla! news website, which is part of the Bezeq group, whose Chairman Shaul Elovitch is currently under investigation for allegedly skewing coverage of the Netanyahu family on the website, in exchange for favorable legislation on behalf of the prime minister.

Israel foreign missions employees announce strike

The employees at Israel’s foreign mission around the globe have announced a general strike Thursday, following a dispute regarding compensation. As a result, Israeli embassies and consulates around the world will not be providing their regular services, and special committee meetings both in the U.N and the E.U will take place without Israeli representatives.

Oil leak contained at Eilat port

Some 200 liters of diesel fuel leaked from a tugboat in the port of Eilat on Thursday. Marine environmental protection forces siphoned the oil and prevented a leak outside the port area.

Palestinians apprehended with suspected explosive devices outside military court

Border Police arrested two Palestinians carrying suspected explosive devices near the military court in Salem, south of Nablus,  Thursday. “Police units are at the scene, and the area is closed off at the moment as police work at the scene,” an Israel Police spokesman said in a statement. There have been several attempts by Palestinians in recent months to bring explosive devices into the court.
