The Philippine capital Manila will be equipped with Magen David Adom’s command and control systems by November,  President Rodrigo Duterte announced Tuesday, after taking part in a Magen David Adom exercise in Jerusalem. The  Philippine Red Cross will deploy the system to coordinate responses in mass casualty incidents.  

Dozens of Palestinian protestors began converging by the Erez Border Crossing between Gaza an Israel on Tuesday evening. According to Palestinian reports, one protestor was injured from IDF fire.

Egypt has informed Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu-Mazen) that it is ceasing the mediation efforts between Israel, Hamas and other Palestinian factions regarding a ceasefire and rehabilitation deal for the Gaza Strip, Palestinian media reported Tuesday.

The IDF together with Border Police and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) arrested 27 wanted Palestinians on Monday night in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Those arrested are suspected of being involved in terrorism-related activities, incitement and violence against civilians and soldiers.

During a raid in the East Jerusalem village of Abu Dis, weapons including large knives and a pistol were seized.

In addition, during raids in the West Bank villages of Al-Majd, close to Hebron, and Dura al-Qari’a near Ramallah, the IDG seized three vehicles worth thousands of shekels believed to have been acquired for terrorism purposes.

The IDF stated that the raids were part of a continued campaign against funds used for terrorism.

A terrorist has reportedly been shot and killed after an attempted stabbing near Givat HaAvot, a West Bank settlement close to Hebron. It’s believed the terrorist attempted to stab a soldier. No other injuries were reported.
