Netanyahu said during his speech at the opening ceremony of the Knesset winter session that both United States presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, have invited him to the US after the November 8 elections.

Shots Fired at IDF Soldiers on Syrian Border, No Injuries or Damage

Shots were fired from Syria towards an IDF force earlier today, the army has confirmed.

IDF soldiers operating near the border fence in the northern Golan Heights reported that small-arms fire was opened towards them from a close range, without causing injuries or damage.

The army is investigating whether the incident was a spillover from the civil war in Syria or an intentional targeting of the IDF troops.

8 Terror Suspects Arrested in Judea and Samaria, Weapons Seized

IDF, Shin Bet, Border Police and police forces arrested eight Palestinian terror suspects overnight throughout Judea and Samaria. One of them wa identified as a Hamas member, while the rest are suspected of participating in terrorist activity and riots directed against Israeli civilians and security forces. They have been taken for questioning.

In addition, forces operating in the village of Azzun in Samaria discovered and seized a home-made M16 rifle, knives, magazines loaded with bullets and binoculars.

Netanyahu Recalls Israeli Ambassador to UNESCO back to Israel for Consultations

Referring to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee vote of this morning, denying Jewish ties to holy sites in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared today at a conference for the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC):

“The Theatre of the Absurd continues to enfold. I have decided to recall the ambassador of Israel to UNESCO back to Israel for consultations. We will decide what to do and what follow-up measures the organization will be facing.”

Soldier Wounded from Rocks Throwing near Bethlehem

Rocks were thrown during disturbances in the ‘Ayda camp near Bethlehem in central Judea and Samaria lightly injuring an IDF soldier in the face. An emergency medical team was dispatched to transport him to the hospital. The soldier is still conscious.

The soldier arrived at Shaare Zedek Medical Center with cuts and splinters in the eye as a result of breaking his glasses and the stone’s hit.
