Police Arrest 13 Palestinians Overnight in Judea and Samaria

IDF and Bolice Police arrested 13 wanted Palestinians during the night in Judea and Samaria. Six of the wanted men are suspected of terrorist activity and of participating in violent riots directed against civilians and security forces. All of the suspects were taken in for questioning.

Suspected Car Ramming Attack Prevented In A-Ram, One Palestinian Killed

One Palestinian was killed early Wednesday morning, after it was suspected that he was attempting to run over IDF soldiers in A-Ram, near Ramallah.

IDF forces, in conjunction with the Israeli police, were in the midst of raiding a weapons manufacturing workshop, when they noticed a car accelerating towards them and opened fire. One passenger was killed and another was lightly wounded and evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem. A third man was taken in for questioning.

The raid netted machinery for manufacturing weapons.

EU Critisizes Newly Passed NGO Law as “Endangering Democratic Values”

The European Union (EU) harshly condemned Israel’s new ‘transparency law’, saying that it undermines Israel’s democracy and endangeres its shared values with Europe.

The ‘transparency law’, also known as the ‘NGO bill’, mandates NGO’s which receive more then half of their funding from foreign governments to file an annual report to the NGO Registrar, and include the information in their published reports. It passed its second and third readings in the Knesset on Monday by a margin of 57 supporters and 48 destractors.

 

 

Protesters Block Family Members of Palestinian Prisoners At Megiddo Prison

A number of activists who are demanding the return of the body of Oron Shaul, a fallen soldier in Operation Protective Edge in 2014 whose body was captured by Hamas,  are preventing family members of the prison’s Palestinian inmates from visiting their respective relatives.

Israeli Forces Arrest 17 Terror Suspects and Seize Weapons in Judea and Samaria

Israeli security forces held a widespread operation overnight in the Palestinian city of Qalqilya, resulting in the discovery of six rifles, ammunition, stun grenades, a magazine and more fighting equipment. Ten suspects were arrested during the operation, including one member of the Hamas terror organization.

Elsewhere in Judea and Samaria, IDF, Border Police and police forces arrested seven additional terror suspects, four of whom are Hamas members. The rest are suspected of participating in violent riots directed against Israeli civilians and security forces.

All the arrested terror suspects have been taken for questioning.

In Nablus, rocks were thrown at buses driving Israeli visitors to Joseph’s Tomb located on the outskirts of the Samarian city. Palestinians held several riots during the arrival and departure of the 30 buses, who were accompanied by IDF forces, resulting in no injuries.
