IDF Forces Demolish House of Terrorist Who Assisted in Deadly Attack in Jerusalem

The IDF announced that it has demolished the house of the terrorist who assisted in the shooting and stabbing attack at Damascus Gate in Jerusalem in which Border Policewoman Hadar Cohen was killed. Another border policewoman was injured in the attack in February.

The demolition was carried out following orders by the government in the village of Qabatiya in Samaria, where the terrorist Bilal Abu-Zeid lived.

Palestinians rioted in the village during the operation, shooting and throwing explosives towards the troops. According to an army spokesperson, the force fired back and hit three armed terrorists.

IDF: Two Patriot Missiles Fired at UAV That Crossed into Israel

The IDF has released a statement on the rocket alarm that was sounded in the Golan Heights. It said that the army fired two Patriot missiles to intercept an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that was suspected to have crossed the border into Israel from Syria. The missile, however, did not hit the aircraft.

A 14-year-old girl was lightly wounded when the missile shrapnel hit the ground at Kibbutz Ayelet HaShachar. She was taken to Ziv Medical Center in Safed with a wound near her knee.

A rocket alarm was sounded in the Golan Heights for five minutes at 7:04 p.m.. The army said this was part of a standard practice.

A rocket alarm sounded in the Golan Heights in the north of Israel on Sunday afternoon. Reports have emerged of two rockets that were intercepted in the air and destroyed near the city of Safed.

The army is currently investigating the incident.

Netanyahu: Attempted Coup in Turkey Will Not Stall Reconciliation

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in his weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday that the attempted military coup in Turkey over the weekend will not affect Israel’s reconciliation process with Turkey.

“Israel and Turkey recently agreed on a process of reconciliation between each other,” said Netanyahu. “We are assuming that this process will continue regardless of the dramatic events in Turkey over the weekend.”
