IDF: Shots Fired Towards Military Outpost in Metula

An IDF spokesperson said that shots were fired this morning at an IDF outpost in the area of Metula on Israel’s northern border. The IDF soldier was examined by military doctors when shrapnel from one bullet hit his dog tag. It is suspected that the shooting came from a stray bullet. The IDF is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

House Burned Down in Duma, Palestinians Claim Jews Torched It

According to Palestinian reports, a house was torched during the night in the village of Duma in Samaria, the same village in which three members of the Dawabsheh family died when their house was torched in July 2015.

The torched home in today’s incident reportedly belongs to Muhammad Dawabsheh, a relative of the victims of the previous arson. Palestinian resident claimed that today’s incident was an intentional arson by Jews. However, the police said it considered the incident as criminal in nature, and that it involved Palestinian rivals within the village.

One year ago, a firebomb killed baby Ali Dawabsheh and his parents Saad and Riham while they were sleeping in their home. Four-year-old Ahmed Dawabsheh was seriously wounded and was the sole survivor in the incident. A Jewish suspect, Amiram Ben Oliel, was arrested and indicted for allegedly committing the arson.

Police Arrest 13 Palestinians Overnight in Judea and Samaria

IDF forces arrested 13 wanted Palestinians during the night in Judea and Samaria. Two of the wanted men are suspected of terrorist activity and of participating in violent riots directed against civilians and security forces, and 3 of the suspects are believed to be involved in the terrorist organization Hamas. All suspects have been taken in for questioning.

IDF Forces Seal Houses Used As Weapons Factory

IDF forces sealed three residences in Hebron that had been caught housing laboratories for manufacturing weapons.

An IDF spokesperson said that it was part of a wider effort to locate and shut down weapons factories in Judea and Samaria.

 

Police Discover Weapons and Ammunition in A-Ram

Police and army forces conducted a raid in the Palestinian village of A-Ram, north of Jerusalem, discovering a shotgun, an improvised rifle, ammunition and weapon-manufacturing equipment. Two suspects, residents of the village, were arrested and taken for questioning.
