IDF Arrests 9 Palestinians in Raids

The IDF arrested nine Palestinians in overnight raids across Judea and Samaria,  including five suspected of terror offenses. The arrests took place in  Awarta, Sawachara, and Bet Fajjar. During the raid, IDF soldiers seized an illegal rifle. The arrests were done in conjunction with the Israel Police, and all suspects were taken in for questioning.  ן.

IDF Soldier who Shot and Killed a Subdued Palestinian Stabber Starts Testifying in Court

Elor Azaria, the IDF soldier who was filmed shooting and killing an already subdued Palestinian stabber in Hebron several months ago, has started testifying at the military court in Jaffa. He is being questioned by his own lawyers and will then be cross-examined by the military prosecutors. He is being charged of manslaughter.

All relevant prosecution witnesses have already been questioned during the trial, including IDF soldiers and officers, members of the Criminal Investigations Department in the army, and photographers from the B’Tselem organization.

12 People Arrested for Planning to Disrupt Jerusalem Pride March, Two of Them Carrying Knives

A police spokesperson said that 12 people have been arrested thus far on suspicion of attempting to disrupt the gay pride parade in Jerusalem and to harm its participants. According to the police, two of the suspects were carrying knives. All the suspects have been taken for questioning.

Thousands are participating in the march in Israel’s capital, under heavy security following the stabbing last year by an ultra-Orthodox man that killed 16-year-old Shira Banki.

Another Suspect Detained for Planning to Commit Hate Crime

The Jerusalem District Police Spokesperson announced on Thursday morning, that officers detained another individual who is suspected of planing to commit a hate crime during today’s Jerusalem March for Pride and Tolerance.

Details of the investigation and identity of the suspect are under a strict gag order.

On Wednesday, Police officers detained Michael Schlissel, the brother of Yishai Schlissel who committed a deadly hate crime during last year’s march.
