Palestinian media has reported that the funeral of the Palestinian siblings Maram and Ibrahim Taha is underway at the cemetery in the village of Qatanna. The 23-year-old sister and 16-year-old brother were killed by Israeli security guards at the Qalandiya checkpoint in April, after police forces claimed they attempted to commit a stabbing attack. Several knives were found in their belongings.

Nevertheless, the police are investigating a suspicion that the security guards shot the siblings while they did not pose an immediate danger to the forces.

Israel today handed over the bodies of the siblings to the Palestinian Authority.
