Stabbing Attack in Hebron, One Wounded

A Palestinian youth stabbed a Border Police officer at a checkpoint near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Saturday morning, March 19, leaving the Border Police officer lightly wounded. Security forces shot at the youth, a 17-year-old male from Hebron, and killed him after he continued to attempt to stab. The injured Border Police officer was taken to Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.

Attacks Prevented in Gush Etzion, Shaar Binyamin

An attempted stabbing attack at the Gush Etzion Junction was prevented Friday afternoon, March 18, when the terrorist was neutralized by IDF forces at the scene. The terrorist stepped out of a car and attempted to stab IDF soldiers, leading the forces to fire on him, the IDF Spokesperson’s Office said. No soldiers were injured in the attempted attack.

Earlier in the day, security forces prevented a likely knife attack at the Shaar Binyamin Industrial Zone when they apprehended two suspicious youths and seized knives the youths were carrying. IDF and police forces are scouring the area for the vehicle that transported the suspects.

Suspected Stabbing Attack in Talpiot Neighborhood of Jerusalem

A stabbing attack reportedly occurred in a shopping mall at the Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem. A 25-year-old man was transported to hospital after sustaining light to moderate wounds.

Israeli police have not yet determined whether the incident was terror-related.

Stabbing Attack in Samaria

Initial reported surfaced of a stabbing attack in the Samaria region, at Ariel Junction. Two of the stabbers have reportedly been neutralized.

Terrorist Who Stabbed Border Policeman Receives 17 Years in Prison

Yasser Tarwa, an 18-year-old resident of Hebron who stabbed and seriously wounded an Israeli border policeman, was sentenced to seventeen years in prison.

Tarwa committed the stabbing attack was committed in June 2015 at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem. Tarwa was convicted of attempted murder, possession of a knife and entering Israel illegally, after signing a plea bargain.

The terrorist will also give NIS 40,000 to Raz Bibi, the border policeman he stabbed.
