Jerusalem, 4 April, 2024 (TPS) -- An overturned sukkah, or booth, in the mostly-abandoned northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona on April 4, 2024. More than 85% of the city’s 24,000 residents were forced to evacuate as Hezbollah fired rockets at northern Israel following Hamas’s October 7 attack. The attack took place during the holiday of Simchat Torah, before residents had time to take down their sukkot. Hezbollah leaders have suggested that they will continue firing rockets to prevent thousands of residents of northern Israel from returning to their homes. Photo by Erez Ben Simon/TPS
