Sukkot Four Species Market in Jerusalem
An Orthodox Jew examines a myrtle bough at the four species market in Jerusalem. The four species prescribed by the Torah for waving during the Jewish festival of Sukkot are etrog (citron tree fruit), lulav (date palm tree frond), hadass (myrtle tree boughs), aravah (willow tree branches). The most pious Jews usually look for the most flawless four species to fulfil the mitzvah at their best. Jerusalem, Oct 2, 2017.
