Christian Orthodox pilgrims at Qasr el Yahud
Christian Orthodox pilgrims arrive to celebrate Epiphany holiday at Qasr el Yahud, the traditional site of Jesus's baptism by John the Baptist on the Jordan river, near the West Bank town of Jericho. It is also traditionally considered to be the place where the Israelites crossed the Jordan River, Elijah the Prophet ascended to heaven.
