AZERTAC Photographer Makes History at International Competition

Jerusalem, 26 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- (AZERTAC) – The “Photographer 2025” international photo competition, held by the International Federation of Photographic Arts (FIAP) in Barcelona, ​​Spain, received 2,749 photos from 236 photographers from 55 countries around the world.

AZERTAC photojournalist Ilgar Jafarov was awarded six prizes in the photo contest. Ilgar Jafarov was among the winners in six of the ten nominations.

In general, he has been awarded 350 awards from 46 countries around the world in international photo competitions he has participated in. Yesterday, the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) awarded photojournalist Ilgar Jafarov the honorary title of Excellence FIAP Diamond 2 (EFIAP/d2).

In the 75 years of FIAP’s existence, Jafarov is the first photographer from the former Soviet Union to be awarded this honorary title.
