Jerusalem, 8 October, 2023 (TPS) -- Hamas may launch a fresh assault on Israel as a smokescreen to rescue dozens of terrorists stranded in Israel, the Tazpit Press Service has learned.

Hamas terrorists were equipped with Israeli cell phones before infiltrating Israel on Saturday. However, Israel cut off electricity to Gaza, and without any wifi, the terrorists are stuck in groves, dunes and other areas near the Gaza, unable to return.

TPS has learned that the terrorists are asking Hamas headquarters for instruction on how to return as the Israel Defense Force continues searching for them.

One of the ways currently being considered is fire rockets at Israeli forces to cover their return, TPS has learned.

At least 250 people were killed on Saturday when terrorists infiltrated a number of Israeli communities near the Gaza border. Dozens of hostages were taken into Gaza. Hamas also fired rockets at Israel.

Israel responded with air strikes on Gaza and called up thousands of army reservists.
