‘Hundreds’ of Palestinian Terror Suspects Detained in Jenin Refugee Camp Raid
Jerusalem, 13 December, 2023 (TPS) -- Israeli security forces commented for the first time on a counter-terror raid in the Jenin refugee camp on Wednesday, saying hundreds of suspects were detained in a 30-hour operation. The IDF said the operation was still continuing.
The IDF said it had searched more than 400 buildings, detained hundreds of terror suspects for questioning, and confiscated weapons and ammunition. Six explosive manufacturing laboratories, several underground tunnel shafts, and four observation towers were discovered. Large amounts of explosives and ammunition were confiscated, along with weapons and weapon parts.
During clashes in the camp, four soldiers were slightly injured by shrapnel.
Another 17 suspects were arrested in other raids around Judea and Samaria, of whom seven were associated with Hamas.
Soldiers confiscated weapons, ammunition, terror money and, in in the village of Turmus Aya, more than 40 illegal vehicles.
Since Oct. 7, Israel’s security forces have arrested approximately 2,100 Palestinian terrorists in Judea and Samaria, of whom 1,100 are associated with Hamas.
