Senior Hamas Commander Killed in Air Strike; Tunnels Bombed Overnight
Jerusalem, 28 October, 2023 (TPS) -- The Israel Defense Forces continued its destruction of the Hamas infrastructure in the Gaza Strip on Friday night, according to military officials.
Also, killed last night in a targeted air force bombing was Ezzam Abu Raffa, the head of the Hamas air force and drone squadrons.
The IDF reported targeting Abu Raffa through precise intelligence information from the Air Force, Amman military intelligence and the Shin Bet intelligence agency.
According to a statement issued on Saturday, overnight, the IDF destroyed some 150 underground targets in the northern Gaza Strip during attacks by fighter jets.
Along with the targeting of terrorists, combat tunnels, underground combat areas, and other underground terrorist infrastructures were also destroyed.
“We are using fire power that has never been seen before in the Gaza Strip. From the air, from the ground, or from underground – the IDF will eliminate every senior or junior terrorist and every terrorist infrastructure of Hamas,” said the commander of the fire center in the Southern Command, identified as Lieutenant Colonel Y.
Another official, Lt. Col. Gilad Kinan, head of the Air Operations Group, said, “In the flight attack tonight, about one hundred fighter jets destroyed hundreds of targets of the Hamas terrorist organization. The Air Force is prepared for the continuation of the development of the campaign, and works together with all the bodies in the IDF when the goal is clear – to destroy everything that has been touched by the hands of Hamas.
