Israeli forces on Wednesday evening arrested three Arabs who set fires near Mount Scopus in Jerusalem.

The fires were set near a main route, leading to its temporary closure due to the heavy smoke.

Forces alerted to the scene caught the three arsonists, who were carrying several lighters.

No one was injured in the incident.

Israeli security forces on Thursday thwarted an apparent attempt by two Arabs to infiltrate the community of Neriya in Samaria.

At approximately 08:00, the two suspects were identified as they entered in an area near the community designated as a “special security zone.”

Civilian response teams launched a search and detained the two until the IDF’s arrival.

A preliminary investigation showed that the two were known Hamas activists who had previously been jailed by Israel for terrorism-related offenses.

The two were detained for further investigation, and their vehicle, which was hidden away from the area, was confiscated.
