Police Arrest Arab Arsonists in Jerusalem

Israeli forces on Wednesday evening arrested three Arabs who set fires near Mount Scopus in Jerusalem.
The fires were set near a main route, leading to its temporary closure due to the heavy smoke.
Forces alerted to the scene caught the three arsonists, who were carrying several lighters.
No one was injured in the incident.
Drone from Lebanon Infiltrates Israeli Airspace

A drone flying from Lebanon on Wednesday infiltrated Israeli airspace.
The IDF stated that a short while ago, an IDF force identified a craft that infiltrated from Lebanese territory into Israel’s airspace and returned to Lebanese territory.
The craft was tracked by the IDF throughout the incident, the army underscored.
Avi Gabay Won’t Run in Labor Primaries

Avi Gabay, head of the Labor party, stated Tuesday he will not run for the party leadership in the upcoming primaries.
Gabay led the party to a failure in the April 2019 elections.
The party’s number two, former IDF general Tal Russo, announced Monday he was resigning from politics after joining the party only a few months ago.
IDF Arrests Suspects, Confiscates Funds in Counter-Terrorism Raids

Israeli forces over the weekend and the holiday on Sunday arrested 12 wanted Arab persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities and violent disturbances against civilians and IDF soldiers.
Israeli searches for illegal weapons in the villages of Beit ‘Awwa and al Khader in the Judea and Etzion brigades yielded three weapons along with ammunition.
In addition, forces searching the Arab village of Amatin in the area of the Samaria Regional Brigade confiscated terror funds worth tens of thousands of shekels.
“This activity takes place as part of the campaign against funds used for terrorism,” an IDF spokesman stated.
Security Forces Thwart Infiltration Attempt in Samaria

Israeli security forces on Thursday thwarted an apparent attempt by two Arabs to infiltrate the community of Neriya in Samaria.
At approximately 08:00, the two suspects were identified as they entered in an area near the community designated as a “special security zone.”
Civilian response teams launched a search and detained the two until the IDF’s arrival.
A preliminary investigation showed that the two were known Hamas activists who had previously been jailed by Israel for terrorism-related offenses.
The two were detained for further investigation, and their vehicle, which was hidden away from the area, was confiscated.
The two were not armed, and the background to their attempted infiltration is being examined by the security forces.
