IDF Strikes Southern Gaza
The IDF has confirmed that it has struck several targets in southern Gaza.
Palestinian media reported that there were clashes taking place between Israeli forces and Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades on the border.
Netanyahu meets with Russian President Putin
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met briefly with Russian President Vladimir Putin while in Paris for the World War I Armistice Centenary.
The two met at the palace in Versailles and it’s believed they discussed matters concerning Syria.
This is the first time the two have met since the downing of a Russian jet during an Israeli airstrike in Syria in September.
Court throws out injured Gazan’s claim for damages
The Be’er Sheva District court has rejected a lawsuit filed by a Palestinian from Gaza against Israel, in which he attempted to sue the state for damages after being hit by a bullet fired by IDF soldiers in 2014, claiming there had been no operational justification for the troops to open fire
In the lawsuit, the plaintiff claimed that the IDF had opened fire in violation of international humanitarian law, which grants him the right to sue for personal damages. However, the presiding judge brushed that claim aside, as the plaintiff “is the subject of an enemy entity,” and that there is no legal precedent for such a ruling.
Netanyahu leaves for Paris
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu embarked for Paris on Saturday night, where he will be taking part in the events commemorating 100 years since World War I.
Prime Minister to undergo medical procedure
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is scheduled to undergo a medical procedure on Friday, the Prime Minister’s officers said on Thursday night. Temporarily replacing Netanyahu as Prime Minister will be Jerusalem Affairs Minister Ze’ev Elkin.
