IDF strikes Palestinian cell on Gaza border

A Palestinian cells attempting to lay an explosive device on the border fence near Khan Younes in the northern Gaza Strip was hit Sunday evening in an aerial strike, a military spokesman said. Palestinian reports said three people were killed in the incident.

 

Transportation Minister to visit Oman

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz is set to visit Oman later this week, just days after Prime Minister Netanyahu visited the Gulf state. Katz will be taking part in an international transportation conference, where he will be presenting his “Rails for Peace” initiative, which aspires to connect Israel with the Gulf state via railway.

Police sappers called to school in southern Israel after rocket found

Police sappers were called to a high school in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council on Sunday morning after an rocket was found near the classrooms.

The rocket is believed to be from the barrage of rockets that hit southern Israel overnight Saturday during the weekend’s escalation. The spokesperson for the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council said it seemed the rocket had exploded before hitting the ground.

The school was immediately evacuated after the rocket was found.

Netanyahu: ‘Israel will not receive any ultimatum from Hamas’

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has responded to Hamas’ demand that Israel transfer a monthly cash payment of NIS 15 Million to the terror organization in exchange to their prevention of an escalation between Israel and Gaza.

“Israel will not receive any ultimatum from Hamas,” said Netanyahu during Sunday’s government meeting.

Palestinian Report: Fuel trucks entering Gaza Strip

Qatari funded fuel truck began entering the Gaza Strip this morning, Palestinian media has reported. According to the reports, 15 fuel trucks are expected to enter the strip throughout the day, providing hundreds of thousands of litres of fuel to Gaza.
