Two Police Officers Stabbed in Terrorist Attack in Jerusalem

Two police officers were stabbed in their upper body in a terrorist attack this morning at Herod’s Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City. Both seem to have been seriously wounded and were transferred to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem by the emergency services on the scene. The terrorist was apprehended. Circumstances of the attack are currently being reviewed.

Palestinian Woman With Knife Arrested in Samaria

An attempted stabbing attack was reported shortly before noon on Sunday near the community of Itamar in Samaria, following a weekend of terror attacks by Palestinians.

Initial reports indicated that an Israeli security force in the nearby Gid’onim area notice a suspicious Palestinian and attempted to inspect her. She attempted to escape, and while fleeing threw a knife in the direction of the security force. No Israelis were reported to be injured.

The woman was arrested and taken for questioning, under suspicion of planning to carry out a stabbing attack.

Netanyahu Rejects Criticism Over Aid Pact with US

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected criticism earlier in the week from several MKs in the Opposition, who held him responsible for failing to secure a better renewed memorandum of understanding with the United States regarding its annual military aid package to Israel.

“I wish to make it clear that we have never been offered more, not even by one dollar,” said Netanyahu, accusing his critics of “distortions and fabrications” and “displaying ingratitude toward the United States.”

Police Cracks Down on Arab-Israeli Knesset Party on Fund Fraud Suspicions

Israel Police cracked down Sunday morning on the Arab-Israeli Knesset party Balad on suspicion of corruption. Over 20 suspects were arrested in various parts of the country, including senior Balad figures and activists, lawyers and accountants, for suspected involvement in a series of offenses involving money that was received and used to fund the party.

Third Terror Attack on Friday Leaves Israeli Man Lightly Injured

A third terror attack took place on late afternoon on Friday at 17:15 in Hebron. A terrorist stabbed a young Israeli man, age 20, who was lightly injured in the face. The victim was transported to the Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem. The terrorist was neutralized by IDF forces.
