The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that a short while ago an Israeli warplane shot down a UAV belonging to Hamas on the Gaza coastline.

“The UAV had been under full surveillance from the moment it took off,” said the IDF statement. “It did not infiltrate Israeli territory. The IDF will not allow any violation of its airspace and will take determined action against any such attempt.”

An attempted stabbing attack against IDF soldiers was reported shortly after 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning at a checkpoint at the entrance to the Palestinian village of Bani Naim in the Mount Hebron region.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that there were no Israeli casualties, and that the assailant was shot by the IDF force and killed at the scene. Palestinian sources reported the terrorist to be a teenage resident of Bani Naim.

Palestinians pelted an Israeli bus with rocks Monday evening near the Arab-majority neighborhood of Wadi Joz, in the north of the city. The rocks smashed the windshield, lightly wounding the driver. He was treated at the scene by Magen David Adom and did not require hospitalization.

A police spokesperson said forces were conducting searches in the area.

There are initial reports of a stabbing attack outside the Machpela Cave in Hebron. Details to follow.

The IDF Spokesperson Unit stated the IDF and security forces launched a large scale operation during the night in the village of Bani Na’im in Judea and Samaria during which a printing house was raided on suspiscions of incitement to terrorism, located following the car ramming attack that occured last Friday in the Elias Junction in Kiryat Arba. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit stated the IDF forces had succeeded in “seizing incitement materials such as prisoner release orders, two hard drives, flags of the Fatah terrorist organization and propaganda posters.”

The IDF seized a pistol, a self-made revolver, an improvised explosive device along with NIS 130 000 intended to be used for terror in the village of Bethlehem.

The Israeli army and security forces also executed two reconnaissance operations in the houses of the terrorists responsible for the recent attacks in order to prevent from further potential events.
