IDF, Border Police and police forces arrested six terror suspects during the night throughout Judea and Samaria. They are suspected of involvement in terror activity and of participating in violent riots. They have been taken for questioning.

Israeli Forces Discover Weapons in Home near Tulkarem, Suspect Arrested

Weapons and bomb-making equipment were discovered in an overnight raid by Israeli security forces in the Nur a-Shams Refugee Camp, near Tulkarem. Border Police and IDF forces in coordination with the Shin Bet searched a terror suspect’s house and car, finding two improvised rifles and equipment to build many pipe bombs. The 18-year-old Palestinian suspect was arrested and taken for questioning.

Weapons and Ammunition Discovered in Palestinian Residential Home in Hebron

Border Police forces raided a Palestinian residential home in Hebron on Thursday morning, in an operation that was coordinated with the Shin Bet and included a police dog handler. The forces discovered many weapons in the house, including improvised weapons, ammunition, bomb-making equipment, knives, a fake Israeli identification card and inciting materials.

One suspect was arrested during the raid, and two other were taken for questioning by the security forces.

PMO Won’t Confirm Report of Meeting With Abu Mazen

Spokespeople for Prime Minister Netanyahu refused to confirm or deny reports attributed to the Russian Foreign Ministry that Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas have agreed in principle to meet each other in Moscow. No meeting date was cited in the report.

Earlier in the week, both Netanyahu and Abbas said they were prepared to meet, but blamed each other for not wanting to hold the meeting or for imposing impossible conditions.

Palestinian Court Postpones Local Elections in Judea, Samaria and Gaza

The Palestinian supreme court has ruled that the municipal elections in the Palestinian territories will not be held as planned on October 8. The claim is that the elections are illegal since they not being held in Jerusalem.

The decision is temporary, and a final ruling will be given after the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha next week.
