Palestinian Indicted for Plotting Terror Attacks in Ukraine Against Israelis

A resident of the Gaza Strip who has lived in Ukraine since 2010 has been indicted in an Israeli court for planning multiple terror attacks against Israeli targets in Ukraine.

One of the attacks included having a Ukrainian woman seduce a senior IDF officer into coming with her to Sinai, where he would be kidnapped.

Egypt’s Foreign Ministry Welcomes French Mideast Initiative

Egypt welcomes the most recent French initiative for a lasting agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority as well as a planned international conference this summer geared towards once again restarting the negotiation process, according to the spokesman of Egypt’s Foreign Ministry, Ahmad Abu Zeid.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman also said that specific issues related to the Palestinians still remain unaddressed and unresolved.

Abu Zeid’s remarks were made preceding a scheduled visit to Egypt next week by French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayraul’s, in which he will reportedly promote the French initiative to a number of Arab foreign ministers.

IDF, Border Police Arrest 11 Terror Suspects Overnight In Judea and Samaria

IDF forces and Border Police officers arrested 11 suspects overnight in Judea and Samaria. Three of the wanted men are suspected of involvement in terrorism as well as in violent disturbances. At least one of the suspects is a wanted Hamas official.

All of the suspects were taken in by security forces, for questioning.

 

Knesset Speaker Edelstein to British MPs: BDS Is Enemy of Palestinians

In a speech given to 40 MPs at the British Parliament today, Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein argued that the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement against Israel (BDS) were actually enemies of the Palestinians.

The Knesset Speaker referred to such an incident where under BDS pressure, the Israeli SodaStream business moved its factory from the community of Ma’ale Adumim located east of Jerusalem, to the Negev region. As a result, hundreds of its former Palestinian employees are now out of work.

“As a result of these movements, factories have moved to the Negev,” noted Edelstein. “Eight hundred Palestinian families are unemployed today because a factory had to move its Palestinian workers from Judea and Samaria, to the Negev. “

Netanyahu Asks Attorney General for Opinion on Deporting Terrorists’ Families

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has requested a legal opinion from Attorney General Avihai Mendelblit, on the possibility of deporting families of terrorists to the Gaza Strip.

“Many terror attacks are committed by ‘lone wolves’, who often come from families who encourage terrorism,” wrote Netanyahu in his request. “I believe that use of the deportation tool will significantly decrease the amount of terror attacks against that State of Israel and its citizens.”
