Netanyahu Files Complaint over Death Threats

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday contacted Israel Police Acting Commissioner Motti Cohen regarding a man on Facebook named “Tzvika Sabag” who has called for his murder and that of his family.

He asked the Acting Commissioner to open an investigation of the matter “immediately.”

In one post, “Tzvika Sabag” called on the police to “prepare to direct traffic for the funerals of Benjamin, Sarah and Yair Netanyahu.”

In another post, “Sabag” stated that he “hates with a deadly hatred Benjamin, Sarah and Yair Netanyahu and whoever cooperates with them.”

Netanyahu filed the complaint on the 24th anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin.

IDF Seizes Thousands in Terror Funds

IDF forces on Sunday night launched counterterrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria, during which they arrested 15 Arabs suspected of involvement in terrorist activities and violent acts against Israeli civilians and the IDF. The suspects were taken for questioning.

During the raids, the soldiers exposed and confiscated thousands of Shekels in funds meant for terrorism.

Similarly, the forces operating in the Efraim Regional Division found a handgun and confiscated it.

IAF Bombs Hamas Targets in Response to Rocket Attacks

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) on Friday night bombed Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip in response to a volley of rockets launched by Gazan terrorists at Israeli civilian targets.

The terrorists launched 10 rockets at Israeli civilians, eight of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome System. One rocket exploded in Sderot causing damage to structures and vehicles, but no one was wounded by the projectile.

In response, the IAF struck Hamas terror targets in Gaza, including naval force and training compounds, a compound with an anti-missile simulator, weapon manufacturing and storage sites and underground infrastructures.

Ahmad Mohammad Shahri, 27, from Khan Younis in the south of the Strip, was killed in the raids.  Three other people were reportedly injured.

No organization took responsibility for the attack. Hamas and the Islamic Jihad warned against further Israeli attacks and an escalation.

Israel’s Security Cabinet will convene on Sunday to discuss the developments.

Greek Chief of Staff in Israel for Official Visit

IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG. Aviv Kohavi on Wednesday hosted General Christos Christodoulou, Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff.

Christodoulou was received at the Hakirya base in Tel Aviv by an honor guard of IDF soldiers.

The two “discussed security issues, challenges, and opportunities,” the IDF said.

Christodoulou also visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) periodically holds large-scale aerial joint training exercises with the Hellenic Air Force.

Israeli Special Forces have trained in the Greek-controlled area in Cyprus.

 

Terrorist Shot During Attempted Attack in Hebron

A female terrorist on Wednesday morning attempted to stab Border Policemen securing the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron. The forces shot and neutralized her.

A Border Police spokesperson stated that she was shot after she drew a knife and attacked the troops.

A medical team treating her said she was in critical condition.

The Cave of the Patriarchs has been the site of multiple terror attacks.

In related news, IDF forces carrying out counterterrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria on Tuesday night arrested 19 Arabs suspected of involvement in terrorism.
