Arab Terrorist Throws Hammer at Israeli Car; One Injured

An Arab terrorist on Wednesday threw a hammer at an Israeli car as it drove passed an Arab school near Tekoa, in Gush Etzion, wounding one Israeli.

The victim was evacuated for treatment at a hospital in Jerusalem.

The IDF launched a search for the terrorist.

Israel’s First Lady Still in Critical Condition

First Lady Nechama Rivlin, the wife of Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, is still in critical but stable condition after her health deteriorated late Tuesday.

She is still sedated and receiving respiratory aid in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit after experiencing severe shortness of breath due to cardiac complications.

Nechama underwent a complicated single lung transplant last month. She had been suffering from pulmonary fibrosis for several years.

Netanyahu to Meet Putin in Moscow on Thursday

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday, just days before Israel goes to the polls.

The Kremlin has confirmed the news.

The two spoke on Monday by telephone.

They “discussed regional issues,” Netanyahu’s office stated. The Kremlin’s press service reported that they discussed “pressing bilateral issues, including military contacts, and the situation in the Middle East region.”

Putin and Netanyahu last met in Moscow on February 27.

The two leaders have often spoken by phone and continue to do so on a frequent basis.

Romania Will Move its Embassy to Jerusalem

Romania will relocate its embassy to Jerusalem, Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă announced Sunday.

Speaking at the AIPAC convention, Dăncilă said she is “pleased” to announce that Romania will transfer its embassy to Jerusalem, “the capital of Israel.”

The US was the first to make the historic move last May. Several countries have followed suit, while others have upgraded their diplomatic presence in the city.
