Five Terror Suspects Arrested Overnight in Judea and Samaria
IDF forces arrested five Palestinian terror suspects throughout Judea and Samaria during the night. Two of them were identified as Hamas members, and the rest are suspected of terror activity and participating in violent riots.
IDF Strikes Three Hamas Targets in Gaza in Response to Morter Launched at Israel
A mortar launched from the Gaza strip landed in Israeli territory in the Eshkol Regional Council on Wednesday night, causing no injuries or damage. No red alert sounded in the Israeli communities since the mortar landed in an open area.
The IDF said one of its aircraft struck three Hamas terror targets in northern Gaza in response during the night, adding that it regards Hamas as exclusively responsible for any attacks emanating from the strip.
Another mortar fired on the Golan Heights
Yet another mortar fell on the Golan Heights earlier this evening, the fourth such occurence in the last couple of days. No injuries have been reported.
The mortar appears to have been fired from the direction of the Syrian side of the border where fighting in the Syrian civil war continues between government forces and rebel factions.
Slight Improvement in Peres Condition
Prof. Yitzhak Kreiss, the director general of Sheba Medical Center, said Wednesday that there has been slight improvement in the condition of former President Shimon Peres.
“After 24 hours of intense treatment I can say that despite the fact that he’s still in serious condition, Peres is stable and there is some improvement,” Kreiss said.
IDF Arrests Palestinian with Knife at Jerusalem Checkpoint
IDF soldiers arrested a Palestinian man carrying a concealed knife at a checkpoint in southern Jerusalem, according to Israeli police.
The soldiers were positioned at the ‘Rachel Checkpoint’ on the way to Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem when they notice a suspicious man attempting to enter the checkpoint area. The knife was discovered in a security search on his body. The forces detained the suspected would-be-stabber and have taken him for questioning.
