Judea (TPS) – The IDF Spokesperson’s unit announced on Tuesday, that three IDF brigades are currently engaged in a in an operation in the Al Fawwar Refugee Camp near Hebron.

“The operation aims at damaging the Palestinian terrorism infrastructure in Al Fawwar. So far several hand guns, knives, grenades and ammunition were seized by the IDF, and arrests were made,” stated an IDF spokesperson.

During the ongoing operation, IDF soldiers encountered violent resistance which included rock throwing and fire-bombing. The soldiers responded with non-lethal weapons and currently there are no casualties.

Palestinian reports claim there are about 30 wounded so far from the IDF operations within Al Fawwar. According to them, four were shot by Ruger rifle (0.22 mm), one of them was hit in the upper body and died in the Hebron hospital. 10 were wounded by rubber guns and the rest by tear gas.

IDF and Border Police forces arrested 6 Palestinian terror suspects in overnight raids throughout Judea and Samaria. The suspects were all taken for questioning.

Israeli police arrested and started criminal procedures against eight Palestinians from Judea and Samaria who illegally entered Israeli-controlled territory and were staying in the town of Ra’anana.

One of them is a convicted terrorist who served in Israeli prison and was released in the Shalit deal in 2011, in which the abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit was released from Hamas captivity in Gaza in exchange for over 1000 Palestinian terrorists.

IDF and Border Police forces arrested 11 Palestinian terror suspects in overnight raids throughout Judea and Samaria. Three of them are Hamas members, and two others are members of the Islamic Jihad. The rest are suspected of participating in violent riots directed against Israeli civilians and security forces. The suspects were all taken for questioning.
