IDF Foils Hamas Attempt At Smuggling Commando Knives Into Gaza

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and inspectors at Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza, seized a shipment of 30 Centimeter commando knives that Hamas was attempting to smuggle into the strip by hiding it in plumbing supplies.

In another incident, forces foiled an attempt to smuggle graphite into Gaza, which is an essential component in rocket fuel. Security forces have opened an investigation into both incidents in an effort to understand more about the smuggling industry.

IDF Arrests Palestinian Who Crossed From Gaza Into Israel

The IDF cleared for publication that a Palestinian man was arrested today after he crossed the fence separating Gaza from Israel on Tuesday. The suspect was found unarmed in Israeli territory after intense search efforts , and he was taken in for questioning by security forces.

Israel Arrests Islamic Jihad Member Suspected of Planning Shooting Attack

The Shin Bet announced that Israeli forces have arrested Ahmed Abu-Rub, a 27-year-old member of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization who lives in Qabatiya.

According to the Shin Bet, it has collected evidence that the Palestinian man was involved in planning a shooting attack towards an IDF outpost near Mevo Dotan in Samaria. Abu-Rub is also suspected of being in contact with sources at the Islamic Jihad headquarters in the Gaza Strip.

 

Weapons and Ammunition Seized in Overnight IDF Raids in Judea and Samaria

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that forces have operated in the last 24 hours in a Palestinian village in Samaria which the IDF identified as Al-Aqrabania. Several firearm cartridges, weapon parts and ammunition were seized.

Additionally, security forces conducted an overnight raid in the area of Khirbet Abu-Lehem during which they discovered and confiscated M16 rifles, a “Carlo” gun, a shotgun, an airgun, a revolver, firearm cartridges, ammunitions for all the weapons, military clothing and stun grenades.

IDF Officer And His Driver Arrested For Stealing Weapons

Shadi Bashir. a company commander in the IDF’s elite Bedouin Reconnaissance Unit was arrested along with his driver for allegedly stealing 77  grenades and 15 LAW missiles, Israeli authorities cleared for publication on Tuesday. The duo are suspected of stealing the weapons from the Sde Teman base near Beer Sheva.  They reportedly intended to sell the weapons to crime families, and will be indicted on Thursday.
