Pipe Bomb Thrown at IDF Post in Samaria, Does Not Explode

A pipe bomb was thrown towards an IDF post near the entrance to the Jewish community of Beit El in Samaria. The explosive did not detonate, however, and there were no casualties and no damage. Bomb technicians have been summoned to disarm the bomb.

IDF Arrests 13 Palestinians In Raids Across Judea And Samaria

The IDF Arrested 13 Palestinians overnight, including three for belonging to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and another 2 who belonged to Hamas. The other eight were suspected of participation in violent riots.  The suspects were from Qabatiye, El Arub, Bet Rima, Hebron, and Na’ama. In addition, IDF forces found a improvised firearm and tactical vest in the village of Mutelet Shuhadia. All suspects were taken in for questioning. 

Knesset Committee Ratifies “Core Curicculum Law” in the Parliament

The Knesset Plenum approved the “Core Curriculum Law” in its second and third reading on Tuesday morning, by a vote of 41 to 28. The law exempts ultra-orthodox schools from the requirement to teach core courses in English, math, and science, essentially overturning legislation in the previous government that made such classes necessary in order for schools to receive government funding.

Security Forces Find Firearm Under Car Seat

Border Police arrested four Palestinians next to Jenin after finding an improvised firearm in their car.  The car had raised suspicion, and was stopped for a security check. During the search, officers discovered the improvised weapon hidden under the passenger seat. All four were taken in for questioning . 

 

 

 

Omri Casspi, Other NBA Stars To Visit Israel Thursday

Israeli NBA star Omri Casspi announced today that he will land in Israel this upcoming Thursday, along with Iman Shumpert, Shawn Marion, Rudy Gay and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) star George St Pierre.

It is the second consecutive year that Casspi will bring NBA players to Israel.
