Palestinian Media: Tunnel Collapses in Gaza, Killing an Islamic Jihad Member

Palestinian media has reported that a tunnel collapsed in Beit Hanun in the Gaza Strip, killing a member of the Islamic Jihad terror organization. He was identified as 25-year-old Ibrahim Al-Masri. Seven others were extricated from the tunnel according to the reports.

Jews Allowed into Temple Mount for First Time in 12 Days

After twelve days in which the Temple Mount compound in Jerusalem had been closed to Jews and to tourists on the final days of Ramadan, the holy site was reopened this morning. A first group of Jews entered and visited the site, which is the holiest in Judaism and the third-holiest in Islam.

The site had been closed after three consecutive days of violent riots by Muslims who gathered weapons inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the night, in order to attack Jews visiting the Temple Mount in the morning and prevent the visits.

Eight Terror Suspects Arrested in Judea and Samaria Overnight

IDF, Border Police ands police forces arrested eight terror suspects during the night in Judea and Samaria. They are suspected of terrorist activity and of participating in violent riots directed against civilians and security forces. They were taken for questioning.

Parents of Terror Victim Hallel Ariel Visit Family of Terror Victim Michael Mark

The parents of Hallel Yaffa Ariel, the 13-year-old girl who was murdered in her bed in Kiryat Arba, finished the traditional seven days of mourning (known as “Shiv’a”) today. One of their first actions after the mourning period was over was to head over to the Mark family in the nearby community of Otniel, who are still mourning the father of the family.

Rabbi Michael Mark was killed in a drive-by shooting attack on a nearby highway one day after the attack in Kiryat Arba. His wife Chava was seriously wounded in the attack, but has made a significant recovery and is currently conscious and in moderate condition, communicating with her family members and the medical staff.

Palestinian Woman With Knife Arrested At Cave of Patriarchs

A Palestinian woman was reportedly arrested at Hebron’s Cave of the Patriarchs after attempting to enter the site with a knife, disguised as a tourist. As in the Western Wall plaza in Jerusalem, visitors at the Cave of the Patriarchs are checked by security for any weapons before entering the site.
