Jerusalem Fire Blazes: Citizens Warned of Extreme Air Pollution
Several firefighting teams and emergency workers are attempting to control a forest fire, that began in the Jerusalem Forest, next to the Har Hamenuchot Cemetery.
The Environment Ministry is warning residents close to the Jerusalem Forest and Givat Shaul to stay indoors, citing severe air pollution as a danger in these areas.
Civil Administration Demolishes Several Structures Overnight in Judea and Samaria
Civil Administration andĀ police forces demolished several Jewish structures deemed illegal throughout Judea and Samaria during the night.
In the community of Oz Zion in the Binyamin region, a residential building and warehouse were demolished. Furthermore, four Jewish residential buildings were destroyed by police forces at approximately 5 a.m. in the community of Geulat Zion in the Shiloh Hills in Samaria.
In the community of Maoz Esther, near Kochav HaShachar in the Binyamin region, forces destroyed two residential buildings and a caravan converted into a synagogue.
12 Terror Suspects Arrested in Judea and Samaria, M16 Rifle Seized
IDF, Border Police and police forces arrested 12 Palestinian terror suspects overnight throughout Judea and Samaria. One of them is a member of Hamas, while the rest are suspected of terror activity and participation in violent riots directed at Israeli civilians and security forces. They have been taken for questioning.
Additionally, the forces discovered an M16 rifle in the village of Yatta, south of Hebron. The weapon was taken and the man in possession of it was arrested.
Palestinian Media: IDF Attacked A Hamas Tunnel.
Palestinian media outlets published reports alleging that the IDF attacked a Hamas terror tunnel in Gaza on Tuesday evening.
According to these reports, the tunnel was bombed in an air raid by theĀ Israeli Air Force.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit stated only that “there was an experiment conducted in the sector.”
Nationalist Israeli Minister: Israel Should Stop Adhering to the Geneva Convention
Speaking at the annual Herzliya Conference at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem on Tuesday, Israeli Minister Naftali Bennett challenged the relevance of the Geneva conventions that regulate the international laws of war.
“It would be immoral to stay bound to the Geneva conventions which were written for another world, whereas the new world takes advantage of that against Israel,” said Bennett. “We have a moral obligation to protect our citizens. We have to be path breakers, and the world will follow us.”
