Yulia Malinovsky of the Yisrael Beiteinu party was sworn in today as the newest member of Knesset, filling the seat of newly appointed Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman. Malinovsky is the 33rd woman to serve in the Knesset, setting a new record for female representation.

Newly appointed Minister of Defense Avigdor Liberman said in a press conference Monday that the government will supply all necessary infrastructure materials for wounded soldier Yehuda Hayisraeli’s continued recovery at his home in Ofrah, describing the issue as one of “humanitarian concern” beyond politics.

In light of security precuations with Jerusalem Day celebrations occurring right before the start of the Ramadan holiday, Jerusalem Day marchers will not be able to enter the Muslim Quarter past 7 PM.

The route of the march goes through the Muslim Quarter’s Damascus Gate straight to the Western Wall plaza.

A stabbing attack reportedly occurred near the community of Einav, located in the region of Samaria. Nearby soldiers neutralized the attacker.
