Palestinian Woman Killed by IDF Retiliatory Fire in Gaza

A Palestinian woman in her 50s has reportedly been killed near her home in the Gazan city of Khan Yunis.
She was killed after the IDF responded with tank fire towards the area from which mortars were shot towards army troops near the border fence.
Netanyahu to Host Cabinet Meeting This Evening Over Gaza Escalation

Following the flaring tensions in the border with Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will host a cabinet meeting this evening at 10:30 p.m. to discuss the IDF response.
IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot will participate in the meeting, in which the officials will discuss Israel’s policy following the continued mortar attacks by Hamas.

IDF Forces are experiencing continued mortar fire while performing operational activity adjacent to the security fence on the southern border of the Gaza Strip, according to the most recent report by the IDF Spokesperson Unit.
No injuries or damages have been reported.
Shin Bet Reveals: Arrested Hamas Member Gave Israel Information on Tunnels

A Hamas terrorist arrested by Israel at the beginning of April has revealed a significant amount of information on the efforts by Hamas to build tunnels into Israel, the Shin Bet cleared for publication today.
Mahmoud Atauna, 29 years old from Jabalia in Gaza, who has been a member of the Hamas military wing for a decade, was arrested after crossing into Israel carrying two knives and intending to commit a terror attack. He revealed the information during his interrogation, the Shin Bet statement said.

The IDF Spokesperson Unit has confirmed that several mortar rounds were recently fired at forces engaged in operational activity adjacent to the security fence in the southern Gaza Strip.
No injuries have been reported, according to the statement. “An IDF tank responded and fired towards the threat,” it said.
