A Palestinian man was arrested in a junction near the Palestinian village of Huwarra in Samaria, after attempting to perpetrate a stabbing attack.

After producing a knife, Israeli security forces stopped him by pointing their guns at him. He dropped the knife and was arrested.

There were no casualties in the incident.

An 18-year-old Palestinian from the Arab neighborhood of Shuafat was arrested on Monday afternoon after walking towards Israeli policemen while brandishing a knife.

Police detectives were searching in the area of Shuafat for perpetrators of rock-throwing attacks directed at Jerusalem’s light-rail. They were inspecting two suspects when they noticed another man moving towards them with a knife in his hand.

The detectives closed in on him and captured him after he tried to escape. He was arrested and taken for questioning. The knife was taken by the policemen and there were no casualties in the incident.

Hebron (TPS) – At 17:30 reports arrived of a second stabbing attack in the Hebron region.

According to initial reports from the scene, there is one seriously injured victim, the attacker has fled.

Hebron (TPS) – Shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 17,  a female Palestinian terrorist attempted to carry out a stabbing attack near the western gate of the Jewish town of Kiryat Arba.

According to reports from the scene, the event ended without casualties due to a vigilant civilian who found the female suspicious and alerted security forces.

A Palestinian man threw a glass bottle at an military vehicle on the hillsides of Mount Ebal in Samaria shortly after 1:00 PM. When the force exited the vehicle to arrest him, he produced a knife and stabbed an IDF officer.

The officer, who serves as a company commander in the army’s officer training course, was treated for light stab wounds he suffered in his hand.

The assailant, identified as 36-year-old Yassin Mahmoud Abdul Jalil from the village of Asira al-Shamaliya, was shot and killed by the IDF force.
