Attempted Stabbing Near Hebron, Attacker Killed

An attempted stabbing was reported shortly before 9:00 AM in Beit Anun junction, north of Hebron.

A Palestinian attempted to stab Israeli soldiers, and was subsequently shot and killed. There were no Israeli casualties in the incident.

Shimon Peres Taken to Hospital After Experiencing Chest Pains

Former Israeli president and prime minister Shimon Peres was reportedly transported to hospital on Thursday morning after suffering from chest pains.

Peres, who is currently in Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, near Tel Aviv, was catheterized and is said to be in good condition.

Israeli Airstrike Targets Hamas Terror Cell in Gaza; One Killed, Several Wounded

The IDF striked a group of Palestinian terrorists in northern Gaza on Wednesday morning, killing one and wounding at least three according to Palestinian reports.

Several explosive devices were discovered during IDF routine activity, and a group of Hamas members were identified nearby, ready to detonate them and direct them at soldiers.

“Earlier today, in a joint operation with the ISA, an IAF aircraft targeted a terror cell plotting to detonate an explosive device against IDF forces stationed along the border of the Northern Gaza Strip,” read a statement by the IDF Spokesperson.

Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, IDF Spokesman, added: “Forces guarding the Border with Gaza face a growing threat from hostile terror groups attempting to destabilize the situation on the ground. The IDF will continue to protect the residence of Israel and the forces guarding them on the borders.”

Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack attempt, and Palestinian media identified the killed terrorist as 26-year-old Musa Assad Zuaiter.

Attempted Stabbing Attack in Gush Etzion, No Casualties; Three Terrorists Killed

A stabbing attempt was thwarted in Gush Etzion Junction shortly after 8 PM.

Three Palestinians came from Beit Fajjar wearing dark clothing to camouflage themselves and arrived at the junction, which has been the scene of many terror attacks during the current wave of violence.

They were spotted and followed by IDF forces, who waited for them at the junction. When the terrorists arrived, drew knives and tried to carry out a stabbing attack, the IDF forces shot at them.

Two of the terrorists were immediately killed, while the third was critically wounded and pronounced dead after a short while. There were no Israeli casualties in the incident.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry: No Israelis Injured In Cairo Attack

Gunmen opened fire on a number of tourists who were boarding a bus, earlier Thursday in Egypt’s capital of Cairo. Reportedly, there were no Israeli tourists who were injured.

“The only thing I can officially confirm is that according to the reports of the local police there are no Israeli injuries or casualties,” said Alon Lavi, Deputy Spokesperson for Israel’s Foreign Ministry to Tazpit Press Service.

“As far as we understand, there were Israeli tourists on the bus, but again none of them got hurt.”
