IDF Soldier Wounded in Stabbing Attack in Gush Etzion; Terrorist Killed

An IDF reserve soldier was lightly wounded in a stabbing attack at Gush Etzion Junction, located south of Jerusalem which has lately been the scene of many terror attacks.

Preliminary details indicate that shortly before 9:00 am, a Palestinian man arrived at the junction by car and got off near a bus stop. While approaching it, a reserve soldier posted at the junction approached and confronted him.

At that point the terrorist drew a knife and stabbed the soldier in his face and hand, lightly wounding him. He was subsequently shot and killed by IDF forces. He was later identified by Palestinian sources as 18-year-old Ahmad Younis Kawazba from the village of Sair.

The reservist, reported to be about 34 years old, was treated at the scene and evacuated to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

Stabbing Attack in Jerusalem Wounds Two, Terrorist Neutralized

A terrorist attack occurred Shortly before 5:00 PM on a main road in Jerusalem.

Two Israelis were lightly injured in the stabbing attack on Bar-Lev road, north of the Old City, including a 15-year-old girl. She was transported to Hadassah Mount Scopus hospital along with a 29-year-old shock victim.

The stabber was subsequently shot and seriously wounded.

Stabbing Attack in Jerusalem Injures One; Suspected Attacker Arrested

A stabbing attack was perpetrated at a bus stop in Jerusalem’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood shortly after 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 1.

According to an Israel Police Spokesperson, “a Palestinian attacker arrived to the bus station on Barazani street, drew a knife and leaped at a bystander in an attempt to Stab him. Luckily the knife didn’t penetrate the victim and the attacker immediately fled the scene.”

The victim was very lightly injured  in his shoulder while waiting at the bus stop, and chose not to be transported to hospital. The terrorist fled in the direction of the nearby Arab neighborhood of Sur Baher.

Israeli Police and Border Patrol officers engaged in a pursuit of the suspect and scoured the area until captyring him.

“In the subsequent manhunt, a suspect matching the attacker’s description has been apprehended,” added the Police Spokesperson.

 

Shooting Attack Near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron Wounds Soldier

A shooting attack occurred next to the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron shortly after 2:00 PM.

An IDF soldier was lightly to moderately wounded in her pelvis, and is fully conscious. She is being transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

The terrorist was reportedly a sniper, who shot from a roof in the Abu Sneina neighborhood in Hebron. The shooter has not been caught, and IDF troops are preparing to enter the neighborhood to search for them.

Gag Order on Duma Arson Investigation Details Lifted: Two Suspects Indicted

The main suspects of committing the attack that killed three of the Dawabsheh family members are 21-year-old Amiram Ben Oliel from Jerusalem, and a 17-year-old minor from Samaria.

Ben Oliel was indicted on three counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of arson and conspiring to commit a racially motivated crime. The minor, whose name wasn’t cleared for publication, was indicted for aiding Ben Oliel and conspiring to commit a racially motivated crime.
