The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit stated on Wednesday morning, that IDF and Police forces arrested 13 Palestinian suspects throughout Judea and Samaria during the night. Eight of the suspects were wanted for participating in violent riots directed at Israeli civilians and security forces.

Five more Palestinians were arrested during a raid on an illegal Palestinian radio station, Radio Sanabel. According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the radio station was raided and closed down due to evidence that it broadcasts incitement to terrorism. IDF forces confiscated technical equipment and radio transmitters from the station. All suspects were taken in for questioning.

The Israeli Airport Authority said that the security staff at Ben Gurion Airport arrested four Palestinians who were staying illegally in Israeli-controlled territory. However, the police identified the suspects as Israeli citizens.

The four arrived at the airport gates in a car and did not cooperate with the security staff. The vehicle escaped towards terminal 3, the airport’s main terminal, and measures were immediately taken to stop it. The car stopped a security gate, and two of the passengers attempted to climb over it.

At that point the security guards managed to capture and handcuff them suspects. After an initial interrogation, during which the possibility of an attempted terror attack was ruled out, they were transferred to the police for further investigation.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit reported that the IDF and security forces had arrested ​​16 wanted men in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley area during nightly raids. Eight of these men were arrested on suspiscions of involvement in terrorism and of mass disturbances and violence towards civilians or security forces. The suspects were taken in for questioning.

In addition, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit also stated the IDF had impounded weapons in various villages of the West Bank during the night. The IDF altogether confiscated homemade weapons, two Molotov cocktails, two shotguns and ammunition along with two hunting rifles. All seized weapons were transferred to the security forces.

The Israel Police reported that rocks were thrown on the Jerusalem Light Rail, near the Bet Hanina neighborhood. No injuries were reported and some exterior damage was caused to the Light Rail. The police are searching for the suspects.
