27 Palestinians Arrested In Raids Across Judea and Samaria
IDF forces arrested 27 Palestinians in raids across Judea and Samaria, including 21 suspected of terror related offenses. The suspects were residents of Tekoa, Qalqilya, Nablus, Dheisheh, Sair, Khirbet and Tzurif. All suspects were taken in for questioning by security forces.
Ten Arrested, Three Workshops Seized In IDF Raids
The IDF arrested 10 Palestinians in Dura Monday morning, including family members of Rabbi Micki Mark’s killer.
IDF forces also seized three underground weapons manufacturing workshops in the Palestinian city of Qalqilya, in conjunction with the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Israel Police.
All suspects were taken in for questioning.
Suspected Terror Squad Caught
Beer Sheva (TPS) – Following a security alert about an intention to carry out a terror attack in the Negev region in southern Israel, security forces stopped a suspicious vehicle headed for Be’er Sheva.
During the security check, the vehicle’s four passengers attempted to escape but were caught and transferred for questioning. An axe was discovered in their car.
Earlier today, Israeli intelligence bodies issued an alert that a Palestinian terror squad intends to carry out an attack in the south of Israel.
Stabbing Attack Prevented Near Nablus in Samaria, Attacker Dead
A Palestinian man attempted to carry out a stabbing attack against IDF forces shortly before 3 p.m. and was subsequently shot dead, the IDF has confirmed.
The incident occurred at a roundabout near Huwwara, close to the entrance to the city of Nablus in Samaria. According to the IDF the attacker drove next to IDF soldiers, exited the car and ran towards them with a knife in his hand. The troops responded by shooting the assailant, who died from the gunshots. No Israeli soldiers were hurt.
All roads in the area were blocked following the attempted attack.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reportedly identified the attacker as 31-year-old Rami Awartani.
Man Arrested After Calling Police and Threatening to Carry Out Stabbing Attack
A man was arrested near the village of Hura about a week ago after he called the police, said he had a knife and added that he intended to carry out an attack against Israelis, the police published in a statement.
The police quickly sent forces and arrested the man, a 19-year-old resident of Yatta who entered Israeli territory illegally. A knife was located in his possession. He was taken for questioning and an indictment was filed against him at a Beersheva court during the weekend. He is charged with entering the country illegally, possessing a knife and making threats.
