Machinery for Producing Weapons Discovered in Mount Hebron, Suspect Arrested

A Palestinian man was arrested during the night in the village of Al-Fawwar in the Mount Hebron region, after machinery for manufacturing weapons was discovered in his house along with weapon parts. The search was conducted by police and army forces, who transferred the suspect to the Hebron police for questioning.

Elsewhere in Judea and Samaria, ten terror suspects were arrested overnight by IDF forces and taken for questioning.

Sworn In Defense Minister Liberman Resigns From Knesset Under Norwegian Law

The newly sworn in Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, Chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu Party, has relinquished his membership from Knesset under the Norwegian Law. The move would allow party member Julia Malinovsky, who is next in line in the list of the party’s potential MKs, to be sworn in as a Member of Knesset.

Israeli Soldier Stabbed in Tel Aviv Terror Attack

Tel Aviv (TPS) – A 19-year old Israeli soldier was stabbed on Monday evening in Tel Aviv in an apparent terror attack. The victim, who was reportedly stabbed with a screwdriver, sustained light to moderate wounds on the upper portion of his body, said paramedics who provided treatment on the scene.

The police announced that a Palestinian suspect from the Judea and Samaria territories, approximately 17 years old, is in custody. The attack was apparently terror related, the police said.

The victim was transferred to the Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, where he is being treated for light wounds, the hospital said.

Government Approves Liberman’s Appointment as Defense Minister

The government has unanimously approved the appointment of three new ministers- Yisrael Beiteinu party leader Avigdor Liberman as the new Defense Minister, his party member Sofa Landver as Immigrant Absorption Minister, and Tzachi Hanegbi from the Likud party as minister without portfolio in the Prime Minister’s Office.

This follows a compromise between Naftali Bennett and Benjamin Netanyahu that solved the political dispute over the ways the security cabinet operates. According to the deal, a temporary military attache will be appointed to update the ministers on security information.
