Palestinian Teenager Arrested on Suspicion of Planning Terror Attack

A teenage Palestinian female was arrested at a checkpoint near the city of Ariel on Sunday.

According to reports on Palestinian and Israeli media, the 14-year-old suspect is a resident of Nablus.  She was apprehended by Isreali policemen when she aroused suspicion at a checkpoint in Rehelim junction.

The girl was arrested after she told the policemen she was planing to stab Jews, however a search of her belongings revealed no concealed weapon. She was taken for further questioning by the police.

Netanyahu: I Will Call on Liberman to Join the Government

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that he intends to call on Avigdor Liberman, head of the Yisrael Beyteinu party, to join his government. He made the statement in a meeting of the coalition party leaders.

Sources in Netanyahu’s Likud party said that this follows the dead-end reached in the negotiations with the Zionist Union party.

Yisrael Beyteinu did not officially respond to Netanyahu, but sources in the party reportedly said that it is no more the a spin since the PM already knows their demands. These include deportation of terrorists’ families to Gaza, death penalty for terrorists and approving a matrimonial partnership.

French Foreign Minister: “Friendship Towards Israel is Always in my Heart”

Before his departure, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said that his very brief visit to Israel upon which he presented the French initiative for a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, should be viewed as display of friendship.

“I came with a clear message, that the friendship toward Israel is always in my heart,” said the French Foreign Minister. “Israel’s security is at the heart of the concerns of France.”

Palestinian Media: Thousands of Demonstrators Gather at Gaza Border for Nakba Day Demonstration

Media outlets in the Gaza Strip are reporting that thousands of demonstrators have gathered near the fence separating Israel from Gaza to mark the Nakba Day.

The annual Nakba Day (literally “Day of the Catastrophe”) is marked by the Palestinians on the 15th of May, one day after the anniversary of Israel’s declaration of independence. Events and demonstrations are held on Nakba Day to commemorate the displacement of an estimated 700,000 Arabs who fled or were expelled during the War of Independence in 1948, which was started by four neighboring Arab armies after the Partition Plan was rejected by the Arabs and the State of Israel was founded.

Netanyahu Rejects French Initiative In Meeting With France’s Foreign Minister

Prime Minister Netanyahu reportedly rejected the French initiative to implement a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, in a meeting with France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault.

The French Foreign Minister arrived in Israel on a short visit to present the French initiative to both Israeli and Palestinian officials in Jerusalem and Ramallah respectively.
