Teenage Girl Seriously Wounded in Bus Bombing Wakes Up Two Weeks After Attack

Eden Levy-Dadon, the 15-year-old girl who was seriously wounded in the April 18 bus bombing attack in Jerusalem, has woken up in hospital two weeks after the terror attack.

The Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital announced that after spending two weeks under anesthesia and artificial respiration, Dadon recently regained consciousness and is “completely awake.”

Dadon suffered severe burns all over her body after a Hamas terrorist set of a bomb in a bus on Hebron Road in Jerusalem, wounding 16 people.

Mysterious Blast in Gaza Compound Kills Islamic Jihad Militant

A mysterious explosion rocked a compound on Monday in Jabalia, a city in the northern Gaza Strip, killing one and injuring two others.

Palestinian sources identified the dead man as 32-year-old Mazen Mohammed Lulu, a member of the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad terror group. The official Hamas-run Al-Aqsa TV Gaza reported that the explosion was “accidental” and described Lulu as a “martyr,” suggesting perhaps that he was killed while making a bomb.

Police: Palestinian Assailants Shot By Private Contractors

The internal affairs department of the Israel Police has published today the result of its preliminary inquiry into the killing of the Palestinian siblings, Maram Abu-Ismail and Ibrahim Salah Taha, who attempted a stabbing attack at the Qalandiya checkpoint on Wednesday,  April 27.

According to the results of the internal investigation, the 23-year-old sister and her 16-year-old-brother were killed by private security contractors employed at the checkpoint, and not the by police officer present at the incident.

The investigation has revealed that the policeman who was present at the checkpoint only fired warning shots into the air. When the knife wielding youths did not halt, the employees of a private security firm operating the checkpoint began firing directly at the would-be stabbers, resulting in their deaths.

 

Israel Indicts Hamas Member for 18 Offenses Including Attempted Killing of IDF Soldiers

The Southern District Prosecutor has indicted a 24-year-old member of the Hamas terror organization at the Beersheva District Court.

According to the indictment, the man faces 18 charges for “committing many grave offenses against Israeli security.” These include placing explosives directed against IDF vehicles with the intention of killing soldiers, shooting missiles and mortars at IDF bases and outposts, and smuggling weapons from Egypt through tunnels.

Pedestrian Killed in Car Accident in Jerusalem

A 35-year-old man was accidentally run over by a car on Sunday morning in Jerusalem, suffering serious head injuries. He was evacuated in critical condition to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital where he was eventually pronounced dead.
