IDF Forces Demolish Synagogue and Homes in Samaria
Israeli police and army forces have demolished sereval residential homes at the Malachei Hashalom stronghold at an abandoned military base in Samaria, including the community synagogue.
The stronghold was constructed in memory of terror victims Malachi Rosenfeld and Shuli Har-Melech who were murdered nearby.
“We were horrified by the destruction order by the IDF at a time of daily and hourly terror attacks,” said residents of the stronghold. “Why are IDF soldiers forced to destroy a synagogue and homes built in memory of terror victims? The place will be rebuilt and we call on the government to come to their senses, strengthen the communities in Judea and Samaria and not hurt them.”
MK Aliza Lavie in Berlin: More European Parliamentarians Recognize Problem of Anti-Semitism
MKs Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid) and Anat Berko (Likud) are participating in an inter-parliamentary conference on anti-Semitism hosted by the German government, in Berlin. MK Lavie said that she sensed a greater awareness among European parliamentarians of the continued existence of anti-Semitism.
”The feeling that accompanies me throughout the conference is that Europe is also gradually recognizing that anti-Semitism is not only the problem of Israelis and Jews, it is a global problem,” Lavie said. “More and more parliamentarians are saying in a clear voice: ‘there can be no tolerance or excuses for displays of hatred and incitement.'”
Soldier Reported an Attempted Stabbing in Tel Aviv, Police Conclude not Terror-Related
An IDF soldier claimed that stabbing attack was attempted against him near the Sdeh Dov military base in Tel Aviv shortly after 12:30. The police concluded that the incident was not terror-related and that the suspect was possibly a homeless man who quarrelled with the soldier.
According to the soldier, a suspect driving a car approached the soldier at a bus station at a nearby junction, spoke with him and then drew a knife. He said he escaped and was not hurt, and that the terrorist fled the scene by car.
Knife-Wielding Palestinian Teen Arrested at Samaria Checkpoint
Israeli Border Police forces arrested a 17-year-old Palestinian woman at Tapuach Junction in Samaria who suspectedly planned to commit a stabbing attack.
The forces performed a strict security check at the checkpoint due to intelligence received from the IDF of a young woman who left her home in Jenin with the intention of carrying out an attack.
The commander of the force recognized the suspicious teenager on a taxi, carrying no identification documents. An initial investigation revealed that her name matches the intelligential information. A large kitchen knife was found while searching her bag.
The suspect was arrested and transferred for further questioning.
“I’m glad that the combatants’ alertness and experience likely prevented an attack today,” said the company commander.
IDF Arrests 17 Terror Suspects Overnight, Discovers Pistol near Hebron
Police and IDF forces arrested 17 terror suspects overnight in Judea and Samaria, including two members of Hamas. Most of the Palestinians arrested, 15 of them, are suspected of participating in violent riots and actions such as rock-throwing at civilians and at security forces. The arrested suspects have been taken for interrogation.
Additionally, a pistol was discovered overnight in an apartment in the village of Rabud near Hebron.
