Two Israeli-Arabs Indicted for Contacting ISIS and Planning Terror Attacks

The State Attorney has filed an indictment against two Arab citizens of Israel, who are charged of contacting a foreign agent and conspiring to commit a crime. One of them is also charges of being a member of an unlawful association.

One of the defendants is 24 years old from central Israel, while the other is 48 years old and lives abroad.

According to the indictment, the two men contacted the Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization, and one of them even officially joined it. They planned terror attacks abroad, and displayed solidarity with terror attacks against Israelis.

Biden Criticizes Abbas for Failing to Condemn Terror Attacks

“The United States condemns the terror attacks and condemns the failure of some factions to condemn them,” U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, referring to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

“If we don’t catch the terrorists, they will reach us, too,” Biden added in a joint statement with Netanyahu. “It cannot be that there are leaders who view this as acceptable behavior. There is no justification for this atrocious violence, and we stand with Israel.”

Name of Shin Bet Worker Killed Near Gaza Published

Amir Maimoni, a 29-year-old Shin Bet worker, was killed on duty near the Gaza Strip on the evening of Tuesday, March 8. His name has now been cleared for publication.

Maimoni lived in Zohar, a community in southern Israel near Gaza. His funeral will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9 in the cemetery in the community of Noga.

Rock Throwing Attack near Lion’s Gate Wounds One

A rock throwing attack occurred in Jerusalem’s Old City, lightly wounding an Israeli man. He was treated at the scene.

The terror attack was committed in the Via Dolorosa near the Lion’s Gate.

Suspect in Deadly Truck-Ramming Attack Arrested After 5 Months

The Shin Bet and IDF special forces arrested a Palestinian resident of ad-Dhahiriya near Hebron, on suspicion of committing a deadly truck-ramming attack on October 20, 2015.

Avraham Asher Hasno, a 54-year-old father of seven from Kiryat Arba was killed in the attack that took place near Fawwar in the Mount Hebron region. Hasno had been driving his car when rocks were thrown at his vehicle. He got out of his car with a club in his hand, and was then deliberately hit by a truck.

The suspected terrorist was arrested shortly after the attack by Palestinian police in ad-Dhahiriya, and was released several days ago. He has now been arrested by Israeli security forces following strenuous intelligence efforts. He has been taken for an interrogation.
