Leader of Yesh Atid Party to Mayor of London: Take Down Anti-Israel Posters From Underground Trains

MK Yair Lapid, leader of the centrist Yesh Atid party in the Israeli Knesset, has contacted Mayor of London Boris Johnson and discussed the anti-Israel posters put up throughout London’s tube by the BDS movement.

During the Yesh Atid faction meeting, Lapid said that he has asked Johnson to take action against the posters, which describe Israel as an “apartheid state”, and take them down.

Defense Minister Yaalon: “Agreement With the USA on Budget for Next Decade Will Hopefully be Reached Soon”

Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon visited the USS Carney, a battleship belonging to the US army, in Haifa during a joint military drill by the US army and the IDF. Yaalon, who was invited by the US Ambassador in Israel Dan Shapiro, said during the event the Israel “has conducted negotiations in recent months to preserve its security in the Middle East. The goal is to reach an agreement on the budget for the next decade, and I hope we will achieve this over the coming weeks.”

Israel Indicts Teenage Terrorist for Murdering Dafna Meir in her Home in Otniel

Murad Bader Abdullah Adais, a 16-year-old Palestinian resident of the village of Yatta, was indicted on Monday, February 22 at the Youth  Military Court in Judea. Adais is charged of murdering mother-of-six Dafna Meir in her home in the Judean community of Otniel on January 17.

According to the indictment, Adais watched Meir talking on the phone with two of her children nearby, and charged at her when she was standing at the entrance to the house. He stabbed her many times in her upper body until she collapsed. He fled the scene after he could not manage to extract the knife, made his way back home, cleaned the blood from his hands and watched a movie.

Adais was eventually caught after a two-day manhunt conducted by the IDF.

Israel Foils Attempt to Smuggle Drones into Gaza Strip

The Israeli Defense Ministry announced that it has recently prevented an attempt to smuggle drones into the Gaza Strip, presumably for the use of terror organizations.

The drones were caught inside an Israeli truck that contained toys at the Kerem Shalom Crossing between Israel and Gaza. The inspection of the truck revealed several drones of various sizes and types, carrying quality cameras, that were suspectedly meant to gather intelligence on IDF forces.

The drones were confiscated, as in previous smuggling attempts thwarted by the IDF, the ISA (Shin Bet) and the Defense Ministry. An investigation has been initiated in order locate those responsible for the smuggling attempt.

Stabbing Attempt Thwarted Near Huwwara in Samaria; No Israeli Casualties

A stabbing attempt against IDF forces occurred shortly before 12:00 PM.

None of the soldiers were hurt in the incident. The young Palestinian terrorist was shot and killed.
